ROAS Calculator
See how much revenue every rupee of ad spend brings in, and whether that return is actually profitable once your margin is counted.
How ROAS is calculated
Revenue from your ads, divided by what you spent on them.
Break-even ROAS is 100 ÷ gross margin %. Above it, your ads earn more profit than they cost. Below it, you lose money on every sale even when ROAS looks high.
| Gross margin | Break-even ROAS |
|---|---|
| 20% | 5.0× |
| 35% | 2.9× |
| 50% | 2.0× |
| 70% | 1.4× |
Common questions
What is a good ROAS?
It depends on your margin. A ROAS of 4× is excellent at 50% margin but loses money at 20%. Compare against your break-even ROAS.
Should I use revenue or profit?
ROAS uses revenue. Use the margin field to turn it into profit so you can judge real performance.
Why is my ROAS different from the ad platform?
Platforms count conversions within their own attribution window. Use revenue from your own sales records for a truer figure.
