Data hierarchy

Official statistics first, then international organisations, then company filings, then industry associations, then commercial research.

Periods and units

Every chart and table states its units and period. Financial years are written FY and run April to March unless stated.

Forecasts

Forecasts are shown only where a reliable basis exists, are labelled as forecasts and are never presented as reported data.
